Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd is seeking an experienced Global Trade Execution professional to operate in Hong Kong. You will execute orders on major markets, minimize slippage, and adapt styles for long/short and relative-value strategies.

You will collaborate with PMs to assess urgency and hedging needs, provide market color, monitor liquidity, and manage broker relationships while ensuring regulatory compliance and post-trade accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of equity execution trading experience at a top tier Buyside Investment Management company.
• Strong understanding of global equity microstructure across APAC, US, and European markets.
• Experience supporting long/short or long-biased investment strategies is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency with trading systems such as Bloomberg EMSX, FlexTrade, Triton, or Portware.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work closely with PMs and analysts.
• Highly detail-oriented, disciplined, and able to multitask under pressure.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin strongly preferred for coordination with mainland investment teams.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Execute orders across major global markets with a focus on minimizing slippage, market impact, and transaction costs.
• Adjust execution styles dynamically to support strategies such as long/short equity, long-biased equity, and relative-value trades.
• Monitor intraday liquidity, volatility, and market microstructure across APAC, US, and Europe.
• Work directly with PMs to understand trade urgency, exposure adjustments, hedging needs, and risk considerations.
• Provide real-time market color, flow insights, and identify potential execution risks.
• Maintain high awareness of global trading conditions, news catalysts, sector movements, and global macro events.
• Support investment teams applying GARP and sector-rotation frameworks by providing execution insights that align with the firm's research-driven philosophy.
• Manage relationships with global brokers, algo providers, and execution platforms.
• Conduct periodic broker review to analyze execution quality, cost efficiency, and market access capabilities.
• Recommend enhancements to improve fill quality and reduce slippage.
• Ensure all trades adhere to regulatory standards and internal compliance guidelines.
• Maintain accurate trade records and assist in post-trade reconciliation.
• Monitor and manage execution-related risks, including exposure limits and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with technology teams to refine trading workflows, improve automation, and enhance execution tools.
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and continuous improvement in trading processes.

Job Description

Global Trade Execution
