Job summary

ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited is seeking a Test & Commissioning Engineer based in Hong Kong to support railway signalling projects with MTR. You will perform commissioning tasks, troubleshoot defects, and deliver reports within agreed timelines, ensuring tools are calibrated and accurate.

The role requires an engineering degree (electrical/electronics/embedded) and the ability to work night shifts if needed, with strong communication in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Support one or several projects on railway signalling systems under supervision according to testing procedures.
• Identify and correct defects (troubleshooting) and report non-conformities with context.
• Prepare commissioning reports and ensure test tools are calibrated and in good condition.
• Assist V&V team and perform tests in the lab as requested.
• Deliver quality within cost and schedule targets while complying with Alstom policies and railway safety.

project in Hong Kong in 1975, ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has supplied over 1,100 metro cars for its metro

network and equipped seven lines with signaling systems currently in operation, contributing positively to the

urban transport system development in Hong Kong.

We are looking for Test & Commissioning Engineer based in Hong Kong to join our dynamic team. We deliver

multiple signaling projects to our customer MTR with dedication to sustainable and smart mobility in the field of

design, engineering, installation and test & commissioning. If you are keen to develop your career in global

You will be responsible for:

• In support to one or several Projects on railway signalling systems under the direction of his / her hierarchy according to the testing procedure / documentation and following Sub-system T&C Leader instructions.
• Ensure defects identification and correction (trouble shooting).
• In the event of a non-conformity observed during the commissioning phase, make a return experience (REX) towards the project, and ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context.
• Ensure follow-up of detected issues and deliver the commissioning reports.
• Check the test tools are in perfect working order and calibrated.
• Support V&V (Verification & Validation) team and perform test in lab as per request.
• Deliver the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs and Deadlines and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards and regulations (in particular EHS and Railway Safety).
• Take the role to be CP(T) of the self-working team, conduct safety briefing and reminder during the work at night if required.

You are expected to have these credentials:

• Honour degree in engineering (preferably electrical, electronics or embedded systems)
• 4+ years of experience in construction, engineering, transport industry for infra and commissioning work ( less experience is considered as Assistant Engineer ).
• Experience in ATC sub-system is preferred.
• Available to work at night, during weekends and on public holidays if required (Nightshift allowance is provided).
• Willing to learn, with team spirit, multi-tasking and open-minded.
• Able to take an analytical approach for problem solving under time pressure.
• Able to communicate in an open and clear manner with various stakeholders.
• Good level of communication skills in written and spoken Chinese and English.
• Driving license is preferred.
• Registered Electrical Worker is preferred.
• First Aider is preferred.
