Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is looking for a Bartender - Terrace Boulud to join our Food & Beverage Service team. The Bartender will ensure guest satisfaction through efficient and courteous service, supporting daily bar operations and maintaining high quality standards.

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, the role reports to the Beverage Director - Terrace Boulud and requires excellent communication in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, with prior hotel F&B experience preferred in a luxury

Qualifications

• Relevant working experience in hotel Food & Beverage, preferably with pre-opening experience in a luxury hotel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command in spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Set up the daily bar counter and ensure all condiments needed for food service during the day
• Meet and greet guests in a professional and efficient manner
• Replenish the bar stock and maintain the cleanliness of bar area at all times
• Provide a quality service according to the guest’s needs.
• Prepare food and beverage product according to the standard in a timely manner
• Ensure that the storeroom is clean and all items are stored properly at all times
• Ensure that tables are consistently cleared and re-set properly.
• Promote daily food and beverage sales and actively up-sell whenever appropriate
• Maintain bar tools and equipment in good conditions
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head from time to time
