Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong invites applications for a role in the Department of Digital Media to manage the Virtual Production Studio and related workshops. The appointee will provide technical support for teaching, projects and events, and assist in equipment maintenance and inventory control.
Strong teamwork and communication are essential. Applicants should hold a Diploma in Multimedia or related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience, including
Department / Section : Department of Digital Media
(a) To manage Virtual Production Studio and various workshops and prepare training materials, fixtures and equipment for daily operations;
(b) To provide technical support and assist in demonstrations for teaching, projects and events;
(c) To support, operate and perform maintenance of the equipment for multimedia, video and virtual production operation;
(d) To assist in the procurement and inventory control of relevant stores, equipment and consumables;
(e) To maintain the safety and tidiness of the workshops / studios / laboratories; and
(f) To provide technical assistance in campus activities.
(a) A recognised diploma or higher certificate in Multimedia, Film, Technical Arts, or equivalent;
(b) At least 2 years’ relevant work experience;
(c) Solid experience in one or more of the following areas: broadcasting, console studio lighting, video mapping, LED wall setup, video editing and AI;
(d) Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
(e) Good communication skills, able to work independently, self-motivated and be a good team player; and
(f) Good knowledge of common computer / educational software, lighting and audio setup, lighting console programming, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware and networking would be an advantage.
(1) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
