Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Temp Accounts Clerk in Sheung Wan for a short-term engagement up to 20k HKD per month on a 2 months contract. The role sits in the Finance Team of Hong Kong’s charitable sector organization.

Responsibilities include checking documents, preparing vouchers, and ensuring HKFRS-compliant financial statements. Candidates should have 5 HKCEE passes including English, Chinese and Math, plus a LCCI Second Level Accounting Certificate and at least 2 years of accounting/auditing

Qualifications

• 5 passes in HKCEE including English Language (Syllabus B), Chinese Language and Mathematics or equivalent
• LCCI Second Level Accounting Certificate or equivalent
• at least 2 years’ accounting and/or auditing experience; and

Responsibilities

• Check the validity of supporting documents in accordance with the established accounting policies
• Prepare vouchers and check accuracy in accordance with the established accounting policies
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with the Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRSs)
• Review the operating performance in accordance with the approved budgets
• Monitor the status/progress of various project accounts; and
• answer enquiries and familiarize staff with the established procedural workflows and accounting application systems.
