Job summary

IO Tech Solutions Limited is seeking a Technology Risk professional to join a global financial institution in Hong Kong. The role focuses on identifying, assessing, and managing technology risks across a complex financial services environment.

You will work with Technology, Risk, Compliance and Audit teams to strengthen controls, manage risk issues and support regulatory requirements. HK-based role with exposure to HKMA and MAS frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5-9 years of experience in Technology Risk or related areas.
• Experience in financial services, ideally banking or investment.
• Understanding of risk frameworks and control environments.
• Experience with risk assessments, control reviews, remediation or governance.
• Exposure to audit, regulatory or compliance activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job description

What You'll Do

• Assess and monitor technology risks and controls
• Identify control gaps and support risk remediation and issue closure
• Support technology-related audit, regulatory and risk activities
• Review technology changes, projects and initiatives from a risk and controls perspective
• Monitor technology risk metrics, issues and control indicators
• Prepare risk updates and reporting for management and governance forums
• Work closely with Technology, Business Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance and Audit teams
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on technology risk and control requirements
• Support the implementation of technology policies, standards and regulatory requirements
• Help improve technology risk governance, controls and processes

What We're Looking For

• 5-9 years of relevant experience in Technology Risk, IT Risk, Technology Controls, Technology Audit, Information Security Risk or a related area
• Experience within financial services, ideally banking or investment banking
• Good understanding of technology risk and control frameworks
• Experience with risk assessments, control reviews, remediation or governance
• Exposure to audit, regulatory or compliance activities
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Comfortable working with Technology teams and translating technical issues into business/risk implications
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Technical background in areas such as development, application support, systems integration, infrastructure or QA is a plus

Nice to Have

• Exposure to HKMA, SFC, MAS or other financial services regulatory requirements
• Experience in Technology Governance, Operational Resilience or Business Continuity
• Understanding of SDLC and technology change management
• Experience working within a regional or global technology risk function
