Job summary

HR Plus seeks a Technical Program Manager in Hong Kong to lead hardware development projects from concept to production. You will coordinate a cross-disciplinary team including engineering, design, verification and test, and operations to deliver high-quality medical device products.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical/Systems/Manufacturing Engineering and at least 3 years of experience managing hardware engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
• MBA or advanced degree highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a cross-disciplinary team including engineering, design, product verification and test, operations, and sales & marketing to deliver a quality product.
• Establish objectives and assignments and implement goals, policies, and procedures; monitor and evaluate process effectiveness; drive improvements.
• Plan and manage new product development projects from conception through transfer to manufacturing, including qualification and customer sampling timelines.
• Ensure design for manufacturability and stability.
• Assist in operations and maintenance issues, troubleshooting and problem solving as required.
• Assure products quality, reliability, and safety to meet electronic and medical device testing requirements.
• Oversee internal and external supplier quality, supplier audits and training, quality system management, and process quality control.

About our client:

Our client is a leading genetics and diagnostic health testing global company looking for a Technical Program Manager to join their growing technical program team.

Responsibilities:

• Working with a cross-disciplinary team including engineering design, product verification and test, operations, and sales & marketing to deliver a quality product
• Establishing objectives and assignments and implements goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates process effectiveness; effects changes required for improvement
• Planning and managing new product development projects from conception through transfer to manufacturing, including management of the product development process, time-integrated planning for qualification and customer sampling, and transfer to production
• Ensuring design for manufacturability and stability
• Assisting in operations and maintenance issues, troubleshooting and problem solving as required
• Assuring products quality, reliability, and safety to meet electronic and medical device testing requirements
• Overseeing the teams of internal and external supplier quality, suppliers audit and training, quality system management, process quality control

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent. MBA or advanced degree highly preferred
• Minimize 3 years’ experience in managing hardware engineering team as well as designing and managing project timelines
• Knowledge in Lean Six Sigma is a plus
• Excellent in English & Mandarin is a best
• Hardware consumer product development experience is a must
• Strong internal communication with those related departments, including internal stakeholder expectation management.
• Experience in working in the medical device or Healthcare field is a plus
• Good understanding of change management or product life cycle management software
• Ability to work cross-functionally with an interdisciplinary team
