Job summary

APJ Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned Technical Lead to drive architecture and development of Harmony OS applications with strong Android expertise. You will mentor the team, enforce coding standards, and engage directly with HK/US stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

The role requires 8+ years in mobile app leadership, hands-on Android, and experience with CI/CD, cloud platforms, and cross‑platform frameworks such as Flutter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Software Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years as Tech Lead/Senior in mobile app projects.
• Strong hands-on Android development.
• Experience with API integration, backend services and cloud platforms.
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices and Azure cloud.
• Exposure to HarmonyOS or Flutter/React Native preferable.
• Fluent in Cantonese and English.

Lead the architecture, design, and development of Harmony OS applications, ensuring high standards in performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, driving best practices and continuous improvement.

Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering standards across performance, security, and code quality.

Engage directly with clients, including Hong Kong and US-based stakeholders, to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Proactively manage risks, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of projects.

We are looking for…

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Minimum 8 years of experience as Tech Lead / Senior in mobile app projects with solid understanding of mobile app architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.)

Strong hands-on experience in Android Development.

Experience in system integration (API, backend services, cloud platforms).

Strong experience in client-facing communication and stakeholder management.

Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure)

Exposure to iOS or cross-platform frameworks (Flutter/React Native) is preferable.

Experience in Huawei HarmonyOS Next development is preferable.

Fluent in Cantonese and English (spoken & written).
