Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited seeks a (Senior) Application Development Manager focused on Investment, Sales Process & Wealth Management. The role analyzes requirements, designs solutions, and drives development for retail banking products.

You’ll lead an offshore team, review code, and ensure quality while supporting UAT and production operations. Strong Java/J2EE, Spring and WebSphere experience is essential, with good English and Chinese communication.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years in system analysis, design, development and implementation, preferably in banking/finance.
Experience with Java/J2EE stack and related tech listed.
Knowledge of Retail Banking Investment and wealth management products is a plus.
Strong communication, teamwork and adaptability under pressure.

Responsibilities

Analyze user requirements and translate to technical design.
Implement or enhance system functions to fulfill Retail Banking business needs.
Troubleshoot issues; collaborate with developers and external parties for time-critical tasks.
Lead an off-shore development team and provide guidance.
Monitor progress and perform code reviews to ensure quality.
Support UAT and BAU tasks; provide 7x24 production support by roster.
