Job summary

Arup in Hong Kong seeks a senior MEICA leader to drive large-scale water, wastewater, and waste infrastructure projects across Hong Kong, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. You will act as the primary technical interface with government bodies and major contractors, delivering from feasibility through commissioning with a focus on innovation and resilience.

The role requires 20+ years of local MEICA experience, Chartered Engineer status, and deep regulatory knowledge of Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer status with relevant professional bodies.
• 20+ years’ local experience leading large water/MEICA projects.
• Post‑qualification >=10 years preferred; seniority may adjust grade.
• Proven MEICA delivery from inception to commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of HK regulatory requirements and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, design, and deliver large-scale MEICA solutions for water, wastewater, and waste infra.
• Be primary technical contact with government departments and contractors.
• Take roles such as Bid Manager, Project Manager, and Technical Reviewer.
• Provide technical leadership focusing on innovation and resilience.
• Oversee feasibility to handover, testing, commissioning and monitoring.
• Champion digital twins, automation, smart controls, and resource recovery.
• Mentor in-house MEICA team and drive knowledge transfer.
• Represent Arup in client meetings, negotiations, and industry forums.
