Job description
We are hiring a Technical Lead on behalf of a leading insurance company to support their Agency Application project.
You will lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs, define architecture and coding standards, and drive technical solutioning for insurance agency applications. You will also conduct design and code reviews while mentoring development teams.
Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs
Define and enforce backend architecture standards, coding standards, and development best practices
Drive technical solutioning and architecture decisions for insurance agency applications
Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical mentoring for development teams
Identify and address technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities
Champion DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and engineering excellence practices
Design and develop enterprise-grade applications using Java technologies
Build and maintain microservices-based architectures supporting agency and insurance business processes
Design RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations with internal and external systems
Design and manage MongoDB data models, collections, indexing strategies, and performance tuning
8+ years of software engineering experience with Java enterprise applications
3+ years of experience in a Technical Lead or Team Lead capacity
Strong hands-on experience in Java and MongoDB
Experience delivering large-scale backend systems in Insurance, Financial Services, or digital transformation projects
Experience working on insurance-related or digital projects (agency-side project experience will be a strong advantage)
Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
