Job summary

The Whale Club Limited is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie to join our bespoke kitchen team. You will oversee the daily preparation, execution, and quality control of tapas and small plates designed to pair with our fine wine program.

Work is in a high-end private club setting with night shifts until 10:30 PM, emphasis on independent work, recipe standardization, stock rotation, and close collaboration with front-of-house during events. Competitive salary based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must have culinary experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie.
• Foundations in cooking techniques with a flair for tapas, bar bites, and gourmet snacks.
• Able to work independently under high-pressure service periods and maintain a collaborative kitchen environment.
• Flexible shift schedule including night shifts until 10:30PM.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily preparation, execution, and quality control of tapas and small plates for wine pairings.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, kitchen safety, and inventory management.
• Coordinate with front-of-house during peak hours and high-end member events.
• Assist head chef with recipe standardization, prep lists, and stock rotation.
