Job Summary

Applications is responsible for the design, implementation, and application support of HKEX’s market systems. Applications make up several specialized teams that have in-depth technology knowhow to support the on‑going maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancements and the development of next generation HKEX platforms.

Job Duties

The incumbent will be responsible for IT project implementation and application development on Post - Trade Systems. The candidate should be an experienced IT professional with experience gained in the implementation of critical application systems on Linux platform and Cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for system development and project implementation activities including the business requirement analysis, application development, system testing and documentation.
• Design and develop systems with modern technologies, eg Cloud and containers.
• Collaborate with teams across IT and business departments in various aspects.
• Provide production system support and performance tuning work.
• Work closely with mainland colleagues and travel to Shenzhen occasionally.
• Undertake any other assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in software development in large scale systems and mission critical in nature.
• Solid knowledge in Linux, Database, CI/CD and Cloud technologies.
• Strong skills of programming languages: Java, Javascript, SQL and shell programming.
• Experience in OpenAPI and application security (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, API
• Proficiency in SDLC methodology and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
