Job summary

ST Engineering Urban Solutions in Hong Kong seeks a dedicated professional to design and assist in the development of hardware and software for the Station Traveler Information System. You will join a team responsible for system testing, from planning to on-site commissioning, and you will craft test cases while ensuring modular, portable, and scalable solutions.

You will also create user manuals, deliver end-user training, and stay current with technology to continually improve the solution.

Qualifications

• Good written communications, presentation and interpersonal skills.

• Ensure traceability of test objectives against specified software requirements.
• Design and setting up of factory acceptance test bench/platform.
• Perform software testing and integration.
• Fundamental concepts of computer networking.

• Raise deviations into issue tracking system for evaluation and rectification.
• Participate in test reviews.
• Coordination/Meeting with customer during project execution.
• Assist in Production/Product/Equipment delivery.
• NCR management for in-house and COTS product.
• Willing to work in construction site environment.
• Determination and stamina to drive tasks to full completion.
• Autonomy and proactive pursuit of success.
• Certification in software testing or development would be an advantage

Responsibilities

• As part of Station Traveler Information System (STIS) Team, you will be responsible to design and assist in the development of the hardware and software solutions to meet the end customer requirement. You will be part of the team and will carry out system testing to support the various projects from the planning stage right up to on-site commissioning.
• As part of your day-to-day’s work, you will be involved in test planning, analysing the end user requirements, design and develop test cases
• You will need to ensure that the solution is designed based on best practices such as to ensure modularity, portability, and scalability to allow for ease of enhancing and maintaining the solution, as well as user friendly for the end user to use and maintain. To operationalize the solution, you will develop user manuals and conduct training sessions for the end user and relevant stakeholders.
• To carry out your job role well, you need to be interested and constantly kept up to date with technology and be resourceful to explore and use feasible solutions to continue improve on the current solution. You must also be inquisitive to find out the root causes of defects and to discuss with the relevant internal stakeholder to identify solution and to mitigate the recurrence of similar defects.

Please note that this position is offered on a 2 year direct contract basis.
