Job summary

Mindteck Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an engineer to design and support hardware and software solutions for the Station Traveler Information System (STIS), ensuring alignment with customer requirements and project objectives.

You will collaborate with project teams through planning, design, testing, site installation and commissioning, conducting validation, documenting user guides, and delivering reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary qualification in E&E/IT/Engineering.

• Experience in designing and setting up testing benches and performing software testing.

Job Description Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for designing and supporting the development of hardware and software solutions for the Station Traveler Information System (STIS), ensuring that all solutions meet customer requirements and project objectives.

Key Job Accountabilities

As a member of the Station Traveler Information System (STIS) team, you will be responsible for designing and supporting the development of hardware and software solutions to meet customer requirements. You will work closely with the project team throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design to system testing, site implementation, and final commissioning.

In your day-to-day role, you will be involved in test planning, analysing end-user requirements, designing and developing test cases, executing system tests, and ensuring that solutions meet functional and performance requirements. You will also support troubleshooting, validation activities, and the successful delivery of projects to customers.

You will be responsible for ensuring that solutions are designed in accordance with industry best practices, with a strong focus on modularity, portability, scalability, maintainability, and user-friendliness. The solutions should be structured to support future enhancements, simplify maintenance activities, and provide an intuitive experience for end users and maintenance personnel. As part of the deployment process, you will develop comprehensive user documentation and conduct training sessions for customers and relevant stakeholders to facilitate effective system adoption and operation.

To excel in this role, you should have a keen interest in technology and continuously keep abreast of emerging trends and advancements. You should be resourceful and proactive in exploring practical and innovative solutions to enhance existing systems and processes. In addition, you are expected to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the curiosity and determination to identify the root causes of issues and defects. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will drive corrective and preventive actions, implement effective solutions, and minimize the recurrence of similar issues to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• · Tertiary qualification in Electrical & Electronics, Information Technology or Engineering.
• · Good written communications, presentation and interpersonal skills are required
• · System engineering lead for the respective project
• · Able to work well both independently as well as in a team
• · Ensure traceability of test objectives against specified software requirements
• · Design and setting up of factory acceptance test bench/platform
• · Perform software testing and integration
• · Fundamental concepts of computer networking
• · Assist in site installation, testing and troubleshooting
• · Raise deviations into issue tracking system for evaluation and rectification
• · Participate in test reviews
• · Coordination/Meeting with customer during project execution
• · Assist in Production/Product/Equipment delivery
• · NCR management for in-house and COTS product
• · Willing to work in construction site environment.
