Job summary

Amidas, a leading Cybersecurity and AI solutions provider headquartered in Hong Kong, is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join the infrastructure team. You will design, implement, and lead delivery of Windows-based on-prem infrastructure, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and data-center systems, with exposure to VDI and IAM technologies for large-scale enterprise engagements.

This role emphasizes end-to-end project ownership, technical leadership, and mentoring of junior engineers

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in system engineering, infrastructure, or VDI solutions.
• Proven experience in enterprise on-prem infrastructure delivery.
• Solid knowledge of VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V and Sangfor aServer platform.
• Experience in VDI and IAM/PAM solutions is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, and support of on-premises infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on expertise across servers, storage, virtualization, and enterprise platforms.
• Drive deployment and administration of hypervisor platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix).
• Lead and support VDI implementations (Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, Omnissa Horizon, Sangfor aDesk).
• Own and deliver IAM solutions, including Active Directory integration.
• Implement and maintain PAM controls and best practices.
• Act as technical lead in project delivery and troubleshooting incidents.

About the role

We are hiring a ( Senior) System Engineer to join our infrastructure team, focusing on enterprise on‑prem environments. You will take a key role in designing, implementing, and leading delivery of Windows‑based infrastructure, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and data‑centre systems, with exposure to VDI and Identity technologies as part of large‑scale enterprise solutions.

This role involves end‑to‑end project ownership , technical leadership, and mentoring junior engineers across banking and mission‑critical clients.

What you will do

• Design, implementation, and support of on-premises infrastructure environments
• Provide hands‑on expertise across servers, storage, virtualization, and enterprise platforms
• Drive deployment and administration of hypervisor platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix)
• Lead and support VDI implementations (Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, Omnissa Horizon, Sangfor aDesk, etc.)
• Own and deliver Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions, including Active Directory integration
• Implement and maintain Privileged Access Management (PAM) controls and best practices
• Act as technical lead in project delivery, troubleshooting complex incidents and performance issues
• Review architecture, conduct system tuning, and ensure high availability and security standards
• Prepare and validate technical documentation, design specs, and handover materials
• Collaborate with presales, project managers, and support teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Mentor junior engineers , provide technical guidance, and support team capability development
• Assist in project planning, task allocation, and coordination when required

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in system engineering, infrastructure, or VDI solutions
• Proven experience in enterprise on-prem infrastructure delivery
• Solid knowledge of VMware vSphere/ Micrsoft Hyper-V / Sangfor aServer platform
• Experience in VDI and/or IAM / PAM solutions is highly preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in complex environments
• Experience in leading projects or guiding junior engineers ; team management exposure is a plus
• Good understanding of networking concepts and enterprise system architecture
