Job summary

HKEX is seeking a motivated System Analyst to join the Listing Systems team in Hong Kong. You will participate in full SDLC, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting modern web applications used by listed companies.

You will work with Java-based microservices, Spring Boot, and frontend tech (React/Next.js), leveraging Kafka, REST APIs, and cloud/container tools. The role requires strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 4+ years in Java-based application development and support.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot/Spring Framework and microservices.
• Frontend experience with React.js or Next.js.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Databases knowledge: PostgreSQL, GaussDB, Redis.
• Proficiency in Linux; cloud and container tools such as Docker/Kubernetes/Helm.
• Exposure to Huawei Cloud Foundation (HCS) is a plus.
• Familiar with Git, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Listing Systems team is responsible for the design and implementation of all of our application systems for our Listing Division. We are now hiring a motivated and energetic System Analyst to join us.

You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support of modern web applications used by all the listed companies.

Job Duties

• Design, develop, and support Java-based microservices and modern web applications using JavaScript frameworks
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, system design, development, testing, deployment, and production support
• Collaborate with internal IT teams, business users, and external vendors to deliver system enhancements and new solutions
• Perform application support and maintenance, including troubleshooting issues, implementing bug fixes, and ensuring system stability
• Carry out routine tasks such as software upgrades, patching, and security scanning, ensuring compliance with IT and security standards
• Assist in incident investigation and resolution, including root cause analysis and preventive actions

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in Java-based application development and support
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot / Spring Framework and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React.js or Next.js
• Experience with Kafka or other message brokers, and understanding of event‑driven architecture
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and documentation (OpenAPI / Swagger)
• Solid understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and technologies such as PostgreSQL, GaussDB and Redis
• Proficiency in Linux environments
• Exposure to cloud platforms and containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Previous experience with Huawei Cloud Foundation (HCS) is a definite advantage
• Familiar with DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins, and SonarQube
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
• Self‑motivated team player with the ability to learn new technologies
