Job summary

FWD Insurance is seeking a dynamic System Analyst & Developer to deliver and enhance enterprise applications with a focus on mobile (iPad) solutions, frontend distribution platforms, and digital initiatives.

You will analyze requirements with business and IT stakeholders, coordinate development activities, and ensure scalable, high-quality implementations across web and mobile technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related disciplines.
• 3-5 years of system analysis, requirement gathering, and application development experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or digital platform projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Prepare functional specifications, user stories, process flows, interface specifications, and supporting documentation.
• Perform hands-on application development, coding, unit testing, and system integration activities.
• Develop and maintain web and mobile applications using Angular, Ionic, TypeScript, Node.js, APIs, and related technologies.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC standards, security requirements, and development best practices.
• Coordinate SIT, UAT, defect tracking, and production deployment activities.
• Participate in end-to-end system implementation projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve coding efficiency, requirement analysis, testing, and documentation quality.

Summary

Support the delivery and enhancement of enterprise applications with a focus on mobile (iPad) solutions, frontend distribution platforms, and digital initiatives. Partner with business and IT stakeholders to analyze requirements, coordinate development activities, and ensure the successful implementation of scalable and high-quality solutions.

The Job

System Analysis & Development

• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Prepare functional specifications, user stories, process flows, interface specifications, and supporting documentation.
• Perform hands-on application development, coding, unit testing, and system integration activities.
• Develop and maintain web and mobile applications using Angular, Ionic, TypeScript, Node.js, APIs, and related technologies.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC standards, security requirements, and development best practices.
• Coordinate SIT, UAT, defect tracking, and production deployment activities.
• Participate in end-to-end system implementation projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve coding efficiency, requirement analysis, testing, and documentation quality.

Production Support

• Provide application support for frontend distribution platforms and related systems.
• Investigate production incidents, analyze root causes, and coordinate issue resolution with relevant teams.
• Monitor application performance and support service request handling.
• Assist with release deployment, post-implementation verification, and production readiness activities.
• Track incidents and defects, ensuring appropriate preventive and corrective actions are implemented.

The Person

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in system analysis, requirement gathering, and application development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or digital platform projects is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of Angular, Ionic, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Understandings of REST APIs, system integration, and microservices concepts.
• Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB and MS SQL.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Git, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is a plus.
