System Analyst
The Systems Analyst will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, domain experts (BIM), and the development teams. The role focuses on analysing requirements, designing robust system solutions, defining data pipelines and interfaces for large-scale datasets, and ensuring that the delivered web applications meet functional, performance, and compliance needs.
Elicit, analyse, and document functional and non-functional requirements for Editor, object management, data handling, and related modules.
Design and specify data pipelines and system architectures that support massive BIM datasets, including schema processing, custom geometric representations, and integration with parametric kernels.
Translate business and domain needs into clear technical specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows for the development teams.
Collaborate closely with Developers, QA, and domain experts to ensure solutions for occlusion culling, batching, instancing, dynamic geometry filtering, and real-time visualisation are correctly scoped and validated.
Support end-to-end system analysis for Electron and web-based applications handling heavy computational workloads.
Define and maintain interface specifications between data sources and the platform.
Participate in solution design reviews, risk analysis, and performance considerations for large-scale datasets.
Facilitate UAT planning, test case review, and stakeholder sign-off in collaboration with the QA & Business Analyst function.
Produce and maintain project documentation, process maps, data models, and system design artefacts.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
2-4 years of systems analysis or business analysis experience in a technical/engineering software environment.
Strong analytical and systems-thinking ability with proven experience in requirements gathering, process modelling, and solution design.
Solid understanding of data structures and schema.
Familiarity with web graphics concepts and libraries and the challenges of handling large datasets.
Experience working with or specifying systems that involve data pipelines, geometric data, and/or digital platforms.
Ability to write clear functional/technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, domain experts, stakeholders).
Knowledge of software development lifecycle, UAT processes, and documentation best practices.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
