Job summary

Jardine Engineering Corporation (JEC) invites applications for a Trade Captain in Hong Kong. You will develop sourcing strategies for subcontracting trades, lead central subletting, and partner with project teams to align procurement with construction schedules.

The role requires strong E&M knowledge, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management, with English and Chinese proficiency. Depending on experience, the position may be appointed as Manager or Assistant Manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Building Services / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain / Procurement.
Minimum 8–10 years in relevant E&M procurement or commercial roles.
Hands-on experience in subcontracting, RFQ/tendering and contract management.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement sourcing and centralisation strategies for assigned subcontracting trades.
Establish and maintain subcontractor panels and frame agreements.
Lead central subletting, including tendering and negotiations.
Collaborate with project teams to forecast needs and set labour rates.
Manage subcontractor relationships and performance; risk mitigation.
Own procurement governance and ensure compliance.
