Job summary

FWD Group in Hong Kong seeks a software developer for life insurance product launches. You will support API-enabled architecture and collaborate on system documentation, requirements, and program specifications to deliver robust solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a Computer Science degree, has relational database experience, and speaks fluent English and Cantonese. Practical knowledge of Java, SQL, NoSQL, REST APIs, GitHub, Azure, and Postman is advantageous. Full-time interns are preferred.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience in programming with relational database.
• Strong logical thinking and proactive mindset.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; Chinese language skills a plus (PTH).
• Knowledge of Java programming, MS SQL, DB2 SQL, NoSQL, JSON/XML is advantageous.
• Experience with REST API, GitHub, MS Azure Portal, MS Azure SQLDB and Postman is advantageous.

The Person

• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Cantonese and Chinese. Able to speak PTH is a plus
• Knowledge in Java programming, MS SQL, DB2 SQL, NoSQL, and JSON/XML is considered an advantage
• Experience in REST API, Github, MS Azure Portal, MS Azure SQLDB and Postman is considered an advantage

Full-time interns are preferred; Part-time applicants should be able to commit to at least three full working days per week.
