Qualifications

• Solid experience (at least 15 years) as a Trader, Quant Trader, electronic/algorithmic or equity/derivatives trader.
• Strong understanding of securities/derivatives markets, trading strategies and market dynamics.
• Strong quantitative mindset with ability to identify unusual patterns in trading data.
• Hands-on experience with Python and data visualization tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Apply front-office trading and market knowledge to analyse trading activity, market behaviour and unusual patterns.
• Conduct quantitative analysis of large volumes of cash and derivatives trading data to identify trends, anomalies and risk indicators.
• Provide practical trading insights to calibrate market surveillance scenarios, alerts and thresholds.
• Analyse historical trading behaviour to improve alert accuracy and reduce false positives.
• Contribute to development of next-generation surveillance tools using data analytics, automation and AI.
• Collaborate with surveillance, quantitative, data and technology teams to translate trading behaviour into monitoring methodologies.
• Leverage Python, data visualization and analytical tools to enhance surveillance capabilities.
• Participate in system enhancements, UAT and broader transformation initiatives.
