Job summary

Jardine Engineering Corporation (JEC) is seeking a Trade Captain to develop sourcing and centralisation strategies for subcontracting trades, working with project teams to understand needs and lead central subletting. The role may be appointed as Manager or Assistant Manager depending on experience.

The candidate will manage supplier relationships, establish labour rate cards, and ensure compliance with commercial terms, safety, and quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Building Services / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Professional qualification such as HKIE, RICS/HKIS, CPSM or CPSM is an advantage.
8–10 years of experience in E&M trades, with subcontracting and commercial procurement experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement sourcing and centralisation strategies for assigned subcontracting trades.
Establish and maintain preferred subcontractor panels and pre-qualification processes.
Create and manage labour rate cards and frame agreements.
Lead central subletting, including RFQ issuance, tendering, and negotiations.
Collaborate with project teams to forecast subcontracting needs and provide early procurement input.
Manage subcontractor performance and risk mitigation.
Identify new subcontractors to increase competition and value.
Own the subcontract commercial and governance processes for assigned trades.
