Job summary

Balyasny Asset Management is seeking a Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst for its Systematic operations in APAC, based in Hong Kong. The role partners with PMs, researchers, and traders to ensure data, infrastructure, workflows, and controls support scalable growth.

The candidate will manage end-to-end onboarding, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and drive process improvements. Strong technical fluency, project management discipline, and global collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of program/project management, front-office support, or data enablement in financial services.
• Experience with hedge funds or systematic trading environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of investment workflows and data pipelines.
• Fluent in Excel and Python; comfortable with AWS and tooling.
• Ability to work across APAC, US, and Europe and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day operating partner to APAC Systematic PMs, researchers, and traders.
• Coordinate data enablement, workflow support, and issue resolution across research and operations.
• Lead end-to-end onboarding for new Systematic PMs and researchers in APAC.
• Manage cross-functional project lifecycles from intake to post-launch review.
• Translate business requirements into functional specs for engineering and data teams.
• Maintain project portfolio view with milestones, risks, and owners.
