Job summary

Pinpoint Asia is seeking a hands-on SRE/Cloud Operations Engineer in Hong Kong to manage production Kubernetes workloads, deployments, and monitoring, ensuring platform reliability and resilience.

You will automate repetitive tasks with Python and Bash, audit vendor materials for security, and provide on‑call support for maintenance and incidents in a large-scale microservices environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
• Minimum 3 years IT experience, with a minimum of 2 years focused on enterprise system support or application implementation.
• Solid, practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes operations (configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring).
• Proven scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• Fluency in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Administer production Kubernetes environments, including deployment, configuration, and monitoring.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and deploy corrective actions.
• Audit vendor deliverables—including technical docs, source code, and deployment materials to enforce internal security guidelines.
• Script in Python and Bash to replace repetitive manual operational tasks with standardized workflows.
• Provide essential support outside standard office hours for scheduled maintenance and critical incident handling (compensation leave provided).
