Job summary

HK Express is seeking a Business Analysis / Business Partner to collaborate with stakeholders, gather and prioritize requirements, and translate needs into BRDs, user stories, and process flows. You will partner with IT to drive delivery and champion process improvements.

This role supports a hybrid work model in Hong Kong, with opportunities to influence projects across the regional network. You will work with a diverse team, leverage tools like Jira, Confluence, Power BI, and Visio to deliver

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in business or systems analysis with IT exposure.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, CS or related field.
• BA certifications preferred: PMI-PBA or AAC.
• Ability to document BRDs, user stories, and process flows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, SQL, and BI tools.

Responsibilities

Role Purpose

Business Analysis / Business Partner

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, validate, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear documentation (BRD, user stories, As-Is / To-Be process flows, data dictionaries, etc.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify challenges, translate requirements into solutions, and guide delivery with IT teams.
• Drive Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies and resolve them through process redesign, automation, or system enhancements
• Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and change readiness evaluations.
• Manage business demand intake for minor enhancements and ad-hoc requests, assessing priorities, defining MVP scope, and coordinating delivery timelines with technical teams

Project Management

• Project Chartering: Partner with business and IT stakeholders to evaluate requirements, define project scope, and develop solution approaches that maximize business value while ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with enterprise standards
• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation through implementation and post-go-live support.
• Monitor and manage project scope, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure on time delivery
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), prepare training materials and help drive business transition plan
• Contribute to post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle and ensure traceability of requirements.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years solid working experience in business or systems analysis roles as well as experience working with IT teams, stakeholders, and project managers;
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field;
• Certifications in Business Analysis are preferred:
• PMI-PBA® (Professional in Business Analysis) – PMI
• Agile Analysis Certification (AAC) – IIBA
• Ability to conduct gathering and documentation (BRDs, user stories, process flows)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills;
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, MS Planner, Jira, Confluence, SQL, Power BI, etc.
• Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for the Assistant Manager position.
