Ampd Energy is seeking a Solutions Consultant to bridge engineering and commercial sales, focusing on techno-economic modeling of BESS products for client tenders and projects.

You will simulate performance, prepare high-quality proposals, and coordinate cross-functionally to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

We are looking for a hungry, ambitious, and analytical Solutions Consultant to join our tight-knit Techno-Commercial Solutions team. This group serves as the critical bridge between Ampd’s deep technical engineering and our commercial sales efforts. We simulate the techno-economic performance of our BESS units across varying load profiles, energy sources, and environmental conditions to prove our value to clients. We also act as the technical project manager for tenders and RFPs.

We operate in an environment with long sales cycles and rapid product innovation. Therefore, we want someone who is comfortable "leaning slightly ahead of their skis"—anticipating how our upcoming product capabilities and features will perfectly align with a client's needs by the time a project kicks off.

If you are highly logical, have a passion for complex modeling, and possess the communication skills to translate hard engineering data into compelling client presentations, we want you on our team.

Skills & Qualifications

• Commercial Savvy: You understand that the best technical solution is the one that delivers the best commercial case from the perspective of the client. You have a proven ability to look at technical outputs, extract the commercial benefits, and frame them in a way that matches a client's needs.
• Strong Excel & Modeling Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel with a proven track record of building, auditing, and refining complex techno-economic models.
• Technical background: A technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical , environmental engineering or other related fields like Physics or Applied Mathematics.
• Excellent Communicator: Native-level proficiency in English is required. You must be able to translate dense, complex data into easy-to-understand narratives.
• Presentation Skills: Strong eye for visual design in presentation decks and the confidence to present your findings directly to external stakeholders and clients (which you will do from time-to-time).
• Project Management: Tenacious and highly organized; you are comfortable "herding cats," managing multiple moving parts, and chasing cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
• Team Player & Forward Thinker: Highly collaborative with a hunger to grow. You have the underlying technical competence to grasp engineering concepts quickly and the strategic mindset to anticipate market and product evolution.

Responsibilities

Modeling & Commercial Strategy

• Simulate Performance: Run our proprietary Excel-based models to simulate the operational and commercial performance of Ampd’s products for specific client projects. Identify the optimal Ampd product mix and deployment configurations based on complex, varied load profiles and site conditions.
• Drive the Sale: Synthesize your technical modeling findings into compelling, high-quality proposal decks that clearly articulate commercial value to empower our sales teams to win over clients.

Model Development & Innovation

• Continuous Improvement: Develop, upgrade, and refine models to simulate new, complex scenarios.
• Real-World Alignment: Analyze field data to continuously adjust and calibrate our models, ensuring they accurately reflect the real-world performance of our deployed products.

Tender & RFP Project Management

• Technical PM: Lead the response for non-commercial sections of tenders, RFPs, and RFQs.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Farm out specific technical questions to the appropriate subdepartments at Ampd. Follow up regularly to ensure that the parties who are responsible for drafting the responses understand the requirements and meet strict deadlines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Client Engagement

• Deep Technical Fluency: Liaise closely with Product Management and Engineering to maintain a deep, up-to-date understanding of product capability boundaries and future product roadmaps.
• Client Presentations: Step in as a subject matter expert to present complex techno-economic models and proposals directly to clients.
