Job summary

PUMA is seeking an experienced software automation engineer to design and build automation workflows in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, with Rust for performance-critical parts. You will build reliable system integrations, troubleshoot production issues, and own quality through tests and CI/CD.

You will mentor peers and document runbooks, contributing to PUMA's sports brand technology platform. Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in software development, strong proficiency in Python/JS, SQL, API

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in software development, automation or quality engineering.
• 1–2 years leading a project or mentoring others.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automation workflows and business systems in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, with Rust where performance justifies it.
• Create reliable production integrations with proper failure handling.
• Troubleshoot production issues and address root causes.
• Own quality with test plans, automated suites, and CI/CD integration.
• Collaborate with process owners to map current workflows and design improvements.
• Mentor engineers and QA analysts, review work to engineering standards.
• Document workflows, changes and runbooks, keeping them current.
