Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Software Test Engineer specialized in manual and API testing to join an enterprise IT project. The role focuses on hands-on testing across manual, functional, regression, integration and end-to-end tests, with exposure to API validation and test automation tools such as Playwright.

The successful candidate will prepare test artifacts, validate REST APIs, support SIT/UAT, and collaborate with developers, project managers and business users to ensure quality delivery.

Software Test Engineer (Manual & API Testing)

We are looking for a software test engineer to join an enterprise IT project. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to build strong experience across manual testing, API validation, SIT/UAT, defect management and enterprise system implementation, with exposure to test automation tools such as Playwright.

Key responsibilities:

Perform manual, functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing.

Prepare and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test scripts and test evidence.

Validate application workflows, system interfaces and business processes.

Identify, document, track and retest software defects through closure.

Perform basic REST API testing using Postman, Swagger or equivalent tools.

Validate API requests, responses, status codes and JSON data.

Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Work closely with developers, system engineers, project managers and business users.

Contribute to test automation activities where applicable.

About you
