Job summary

Ming Hing Waterworks Engineering Co Ltd requires an Environmental Engineer/Supervisor to support environmental management on our construction sites. You will prepare and update the Environmental Management Plan, advise on protection measures, and coordinate monitoring and audits with site staff.

The role involves site inspections, weekly environmental walks, and supervising environmental performance. Excellent English and Cantonese, plus a 5+ year track record, are essential; driving license is

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant environmental engineering experience on construction sites.
• Holder of driving license is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Good command of written English and Cantonese.
• Applicants with less experience will be considered as Environmental Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, implement and update the Environmental Management Plan.
• Advise on measures for environmental protection and implement such measures.
• Liaise on all matters relating to environmental monitoring and auditing.
• Carry out site inspections to identify potential hazards and report recommendations for corrective actions.
• Participate in weekly environmental walks with site staff and supervise environmental performance.
• Check and rectify polluting or potentially polluting situations promptly.
• Attend site safety and environmental management committee.
• Compile the monthly environmental report.
• Arrange and provide environmental training including site inductions and toolbox talks.
• Advise the Contractor on the environmental management system.
