Job summary

Ming Hing Waterworks Engineering Co Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned E&M engineer to help coordinate design between the E&M design consultant and civil/structural teams. You will review consultant submissions for practicality, cost-effectiveness, and full contract compliance, and oversee E&M site progress and testing & commissioning.

The role requires a relevant degree, professional membership preferred, at least five years of E&M experience, and strong bilingual

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
• MHKIE or Chartered Engineer status advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of solid E&M engineering experience within construction; proven design consultant coordination.
• Driving license is advantageous.
• Strong command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese.

Job description

Assist in the design coordination between the E&M Design Consultant and the civil/structural design

Review the E&M Design Consultant’s submissions to ensure they are practical, cost-effective, and fully compliant with the Contract.

Oversee the E&M site progress and T&C throughout the project.

Perform other ad hoc assignment.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering. (or an equivalent academic discipline);

Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (MHKIE) in the Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Discipline, or an equivalent Chartered Engineer status (e.g., CEng MIMechE/MIET) is an advantage.

Minimum 5 years of solid experience in E&M engineering within the construction industry; Proven track record in managing design consultants and coordinating with site-based RSS/Consultant teams.

Possession of a valid Hong Kong driving license is considered a distinct advantage;

Strong command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese.
