Job summary

Ming Hing Waterworks Engineering Co Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a capable Civil Engineer to oversee civil projects, focusing on Waterworks and Landslip Preventive Measures (LPM).

Responsibilities include preparing suspension schemes, method statements and master works programmes, coordinating daily site operations, ensuring safety and quality, handling submissions, and liaising with consultants and clients.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–3 years experience on Main/Principal Contractor side with LPM or waterworks exposure.
• English and Cantonese fluency; HK driving license preferred.

Job description

Oversee and execute civil engineering projects, with a specific focus on Waterworks and Landslip Preventive Measures (LPM);

Prepare and develop suspension schemes, comprehensive method statements, and detailed master works programmes;

Actively plan, coordinate, and monitor daily site operations to ensure safety, quality, and timely progress;

Handle technical submissions, site documentation, and professional project correspondence;

Liaise effectively with consultants, clients, and relevant external parties to proactively resolve site issues and technical problems;

Perform other ad hoc assignment.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or an equivalent academic discipline);

2 to 3 years of solid experience working on the Main Contractor / Principal Contractor side, preferably with hands-on exposure to LPM or Waterworks projects;

Possession of a valid Hong Kong driving license is considered a distinct advantage;

Strong command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese;

Candidates with less experience will be favorably considered for the Assistant Engineer position.
