Aufgaben

• Supervise power plant operation, including unit start-up/shut down and emergency maintenance per procedures and safety rules.
• Provide technical, engineering and operation support for main plant operation and fuel handling teams on rotation.
• Liaise with concerned parties to facilitate unit generation, maintenance work, and circuit switching to optimize output.
• Coordinate maintenance activities for units/stations and fuel handling systems; carry out electrical/mechanical isolation and issue safety documents.
• Lead diagnostic activities and quick fixes for equipment faults; supervise and motivate subordinates to perform as required.
• Assist Senior Shift Engineer or Senior Engineer in day-to-day tasks as needed; work on 3-shift or non-shift basis as required.

Contract Duration: Permanent / 2-Year Contract

Applications are invited for the above position in the Castle Peak Power Station. Reporting to the Senior Shift Engineer, the appointees will assist in the generation operation and front-line repair and maintenance of the power plant equipment in the Station to ensure that the electricity production processes are operated in a safe, reliable and efficient manner. Major duties include: -

• Supervise power plant operation, fuel & material handling system operation, start-up / shut down of the generating units, and emergency repair / maintenance of plant equipment according to the established station procedures, company safety rules, policies and standards.
• Provide technical, engineering and operation support for main plant operation and/or fuel & material handling teams on rotation basis.
• Liaise with the parties concerned to facilitate unit generation, maintenance work, circuit switching and other activities to optimize output.
• Co-ordinate unit / station / fuel & materials handling system maintenance activities, carry out electrical and mechanical isolation and issue safety documents.
• Lead diagnostic and quick fix for equipment fault and defects.
• Supervise and motivate subordinates to conduct operational work as per procedures to required performance.
• Perform any other duties, such as Fire Fighter, First Aider and Breathing Apparatus User, etc assigned by supervisor as and when required.
• Assist the duties of Senior Shift Engineer or Senior Engineer in day team if necessary.
• Work on 3-shift basis or non-shift basis according to business needed.

Requirements:

• A recognized university degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline, plus at least 3 years’ relevant working experience.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• A good team player, self-initiative with strong analytical skills.
• Familiar with CLP Power operations safety policies & procedures, SHE policies, standards and requirements.

Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Shift Engineer.
