Job summary

Haymarket Media Group’s Digital Department seeks a capable Web Developer to join their technology-driven team in Hong Kong. You will contribute across the full stack, using .NET Core, React.js and Next.js, and work on applications that power multiple brands.

The role emphasizes data and infrastructure with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Kafka, AWS, Docker and Fargate, plus secure authentication with Auth0/Keycloak and AI automation with n8n and Gemini.

As an experienced web developer you will have the following skills/experience:

Core Development & Architecture

• Backend: Strong expertise in .NET (preferably .NET Core) and extensive experience with Web APIs.
• Frontend: Proficiency in React.js and Next.js, with a solid understanding of web performance optimization.
• Full Lifecycle: Proven experience across the full development lifecycle (SDLC), from design and coding to testing, QA, and deployment.

Data & Infrastructure

• Database & Search: Strong background in SQL Server and PostgreSQL design, plus experience with data-driven systems using Elasticsearch.
• Streaming: Experience implementing data streaming architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Cloud & DevOps: Hands‑on experience with cloud architecture (AWS preferred) and container technologies like Docker and Fargate.

Security & Automation

• Authentication: Implementation of secure user authentication systems using Auth0 or Keycloak.
• AI & Workflow: Familiarity with AI automation tools like n8n and integration with LLMs such as Gemini.

Soft Skills

• Great communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
