Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is seeking a senior IT leader to drive the post-trade application architecture and lifecycle. The role will lead a team across strategic roadmaps, design reviews, and production support for mission-critical systems, engaging senior IT, business and operations stakeholders.

You will shape technology strategy, manage budgets, and coordinate across vendor relationships while delivering robust, scalable solutions for HKEX markets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related disciplines.
• At least 15 years’ relevant experience, including 10+ years in management.
• Strong leadership across senior IT, business and operations stakeholders.
• Ability to define solutions for complex business problems.
• Experience managing large-scale mission-critical systems on open platforms.
• Knowledge of risk, controls landscape and project/budget management.
• Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
• Proven ability to motivate large organisations and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of application road map, architecture design and life cycle for post-trade systems.
• Drive strategic direction, and deliver technology that meets post-trade requirements.
• Plan, review and implement system development through requirements with stakeholders and vendor management.
• Oversee production support for core mission critical systems to ensure availability.
• Foster continuous technology advancement and lead people management initiatives.
• Undertake assignments and projects as directed by department head.
