Job summary

China Life Insurance (Overseas) Company Limited is seeking an experienced underwriter in Hong Kong to assist the manager in monitoring daily tasks and ensuring timely department duties. You will assess junior underwriters' cases and underwrite complex cases, while training sales representatives and internal staff.

The role requires 5+ years of underwriting in individual life insurance, FLMI preferred, and English/Mandarin proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in a relevant field.
• FLMI qualification or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of underwriting experience in individual life insurance.
• English & Mandarin proficiency preferred.
• Experience in underwriting or new business projects is an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal communication and management skills under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist manager to monitor daily task volumes and ensure timely completion.
• Assess suggested cases from junior underwriters.
• Underwrite complicated and large cases within KPI.
• Provide training or support to representatives of sales channels and internal staff.
• Negotiate with reinsurers for reinsurance related matters.
• Assist manager to collaborate with related parties in implementing changes or enhancements.
• Participate in promoting efficiency and professional standard of the department.
• Participate in enhancing underwriting guidelines and new solutions periodically.
