Job summary

Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. Hong Kong Branch is seeking an experienced data professional to coordinate data-driven business requirements and drive development of data platforms and analytics applications.

You will lead integration and visualization of business data, and develop data marts and high-quality datasets to support AI and scenario-based applications. The role requires strong SQL, Python/R/SAS skills, knowledge of data warehouses, governance and BI tools, with 5+ years in banking

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science or equivalent qualifications at HKQF level 5
• Minimum 5 years' solid experience in banking data products, data analytics, BI, data governance or fintech-related roles
• Strong knowledge on SQL, with proficiency in Python, R or SAS
• Familiar with data visualization tools, BI tools and databases such as OceanBase, DB2
• Solid understanding of data warehouse, data mart, data lake, ETL and data quality management

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage data-related business requirements


• Manage and develop data platforms and data analytics applications

Requirements

• Degree holder in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science or equivalent qualifications at HKQF level 5


• Minimum 5 years' solid experience in banking data products, data analytics, business intelligence (BI), data governance or fintech-related roles


• Strong knowledge on SQL, with proficiency in at least one analytical or data processing tool such as Python, R or SAS


• Familiar with mainstream data visualization tools, BI tools and database such as OceanBase, DB2 etc.


• Solid understanding of data warehouse, data mart, data lake, data platform, ETL, data quality management, metadata management etc.


• Experience in AI-driven data application is an advantage


• GDR related experience is highly preferred but not a must


• Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently


• Experience in banking industry is an advantage


• ECF achievement is the definite advantage

Candidate with less experience will be considered as System Analyst
