Job summary

A leading financial institution in Hong Kong is seeking a System Administrator to oversee Windows system administration, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a degree in IT, 2 years of experience with Windows server administration, and expertise in system architecture design. Qualifications

• Degree holder in information technology, computer science or related discipline.
• 2 years working experience in Windows 10/2016/2019 Server administration preferred.
• Solid knowledge in technical infrastructure and system architecture design.
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Cluster, SCCM and IIS middleware products.
• Proficiency in Windows PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Red Hat KVM and MS Exchange is a plus.
• Willing to work outside office hours for urgent production issues.

• Perform Window system administration including system setup and backup, software installation, patch upgrade, system monitoring and health checks.
• Responsible for system troubleshooting and performance turning.
• Manage capacity monitoring on system and applications.
• Provide advice and consultancy service to project team with system architecture design.
• Revise technical standard guidelines adhering to Internal IT audit regulations.
• As a technical advisor for junior system administrator.

Requirements

• Degree holder in information technology, computer science or related discipline
• 2 years working experience in Windows 10, Windows 2016/2019 Server administration is preferred.
• Solid knowledge in technical infrastructure environment and experience in system architecture design.
• Hands‑on experience in Microsoft Windows 2016/2019 Active Directory, Microsoft Cluster, SCCM and middleware products such as IIS.
• Proficiency in window power shell scripting.
• Experience in Redhat KVM and MS Exchage is a plus.
• Self‑motivated, and willing to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Will to work out of office hours for urgent production issues supporting
• Good interpersonal and communication skill with a good command of spoken and written Chinese and English, knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
• Experience in cloud/big data architecture design, system security, ISO 20K/ITIL is an advantage.
• Experience in IT inventory management and IT operation automation is an added value.
• Good price negotiation, IT procurement, budget and financial management skills will be a definite advantage.
