Job summary

Nex Playground seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Retail Demo) to own and deploy the retail demo software across stores and fixtures. You will manage firmware, launcher, and game demos, working with program managers, design, retail operations, and platform teams to ensure readiness before launches.

You will lead software asset preparation for retail deployments, coordinate updates, and drive scalable processes for future expansion while ensuring quality with QA involvement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Unity game development experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience deploying large-scale server/client systems.
• Proven ability to coordinate with multiple teams.
• Empathy for users and customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the retail demo software stack across firmware, launcher, and game demos.
• Iterate to improve the retail demo experience with design partners.
• Coordinate with Program Managers and Retail Operations to schedule updates and deployments.
• Update software to reflect Nex promotions and new game launches.
• Establish scalable SOPs to extend the retail demo program to more retailers/countries.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure robustness of the demo experience.
