Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) in Hong Kong is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join the Group Risk Management Systems team. You will participate in the full software development lifecycle for risk management systems used in derivatives markets.

You will test, design and implement solutions, collaborating with infrastructure and cyber security teams to ensure reliability and performance of mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, MIS, IT or related disciplines.
• 4 to 6 years’ experience in software testing; automation testing preferred.
• Familiar with at least one development language (e.g. Ruby).
• Experience in large-scale banking or exchange systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ensure the quality of developed Risk Management Systems.
• Review Business Requirements and Functional Specifications.
• Test Strategy Design including Test Planning, Test Cases Design, Execution and Results verification.
• Test Metrics Reporting.
• Develop a test automation strategy based on the Enterprise’s test framework and tools.
• Collaborate with team managers, developers and business stakeholders to understand the requirements and assist in resolving identified application issues.
• Lead a team for test cases design, execution and develop test automation.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Software Engineer to join our Group Risk Management Systems team. Our team develops first-in-class systems for risk management in Derivatives Markets. We play a critical role on full software development cycle, including system design, development, testing and implementation of our mission critical systems. We also partner with infrastructure and cyber security team to operate our systems in the fast growing financial markets in Hong Kong.

Requirements

• Understand at least one development language (e.g. Ruby)
• Familiar with using basic Linux system operating commands (e.g. cp/rm/vi/mv)
• Experiences in large scale banking or exchange systems is an advantage
• Work experiences in Derivatives Markets is an advantage
• Possess independent and critical thinking
• Good written and reading English highly desirable
• Good PuTongWah skills is an added advantage.
• Capability of acquiring new (business) knowledge
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Good coordination, communication and interpersonal skills
