Job summary

The Equity Research Analyst position is part of the regional research team, focusing on coverage for specific sectors or regions and delivering investment recommendations to Portfolio Managers locally and worldwide. Analysts may rotate across sectors/countries every 3-4 years, with flexibility to work from Shanghai or Hong Kong while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

• MBA/CFA or relevant degree.
• At least 5 years of relevant equities research experience.
• Excellent financial analytical skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the analysis of a list of stocks allocated by the Director of Research, typically 25–30 names.
• Ramp coverage on those names within 12 months.
• Use all sources to form a view on stocks, including internal and external sources.
• Maintain a current rating on each stock (1=strong buy to 5=strong sell).
• Publish regular reports on assigned stocks and communicate views to PMs.
• Host company meetings for PMs when appropriate.
• Provide an annual industry update on assigned coverage.
• Maintain a notional paper portfolio of covered stocks.
