Job summary

FIL Asia Holdings Pte Ltd HK Branch's Equity Research team invites a seasoned Investment Analyst to cover regional equities from Shanghai or Hong Kong, supporting portfolio managers with independent research and timely investment recommendations.

The role requires MBA or CFA, at least 5 years of equities research, excellent financial analysis and communication, and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time; collaboration across global teams is essential.

Qualifications

• MBA/CFA or relevant degree.
• 5+ years in equities research.
• Strong financial analytical skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the analysis of stocks assigned by the Director of Research.
• Ramp coverage on names within a 12-month window.
• Form stock views using internal and external sources.
• Maintain current stock ratings from 1 (strong buy) to 5 (strong sell).
• Publish regular stock reports for assigned names.
• Communicate views to PMs via reports, emails, Teams, and meetings.
• Host company meetings for PMs when appropriate.
• Provide an industry update annually for assigned coverage.
• Maintain a notional paper portfolio of stocks under coverage.
