Job summary

Chun Wo Construction Holdings Company Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil (Site-Based) to lead pre-contract and post-contract QS functions, manage budgets, cost planning and final accounts on major civil projects. You will prepare main and subcontracts, evaluate tenders and handle interim payments with rigorous cost reporting.

Ideal candidates have at least 8 years in large-scale civil works, solid NEC contract experience, and strong negotiation and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant QS experience in large-scale civil/infrastructure projects.
• Solid NEC contracts experience (Option C preferred / mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-contract and post-contract QS functions including budgeting and cost planning.
• Prepare and administer main contract and subcontract packages.
• Handle interim payments, final accounts and cost reporting.
• Assess variations, compensation events and claims.
• Perform measurement, re-measurement and cost valuation.

Job description

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil (Site-Based)

Lead and manage pre-contract and post-contract QS functions including budgeting, cost planning, procurement, and final account settlement;

Prepare and administer main contract and subcontract packages, including tender evaluation and contract documentation;

Handle interim payment applications, final accounts, and cost reporting for main contract works;

Assess and negotiate variations (VO), compensation events, and claims in accordance with contract provisions;

Perform measurement, re-measurement, and cost valuation for project works;

Monitor project cost performance, identify commercial risks, and provide cost control and mitigation strategies;

Support contract administration and ensure compliance with contract requirements (especially NEC contracts);

Liaise with project team, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure efficient commercial management.

Requirements

Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering / Construction Management or related disciplines;

Minimum 8 years’ relevant QS experience in large-scale civil engineering / infrastructure projects;

Solid experience in NEC contracts (Option C preferred / mandatory);
