Sands China Ltd. is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / (Assistant) Contracts Manager with developer exposure for its Hong Kong operations. The role requires coordinating with development and facilities teams to define, bid, negotiate and award design and development services for global projects.
You will manage contract administration, data submissions, and bidding processes, with fluent English and Cantonese/Mandarin advantageous. Based in HK with occasional Macau travel.
Development Contracts Administration Team needs to work with departments, including Development and Facilities, to define, competitively bid, negotiate and award best in class design and development services in support of the organization’s development projects globally.
What You Will Do as (Assistant) Contracts Manager
Develop and deliver comprehensive design and construction contracts
Track, expedite, collect and collate periodic reports and other regular data submissions
Manage the bidding process to issue RFP, receive and analyze proposals and prepare BAW while ensuring change management outcomes are captured and reflected within Timberline ACR’s
Attend and prepare meeting notes for any pre-award, progress and project delivery
Review and approve payment certificate of supply chain partners and project registers
What We Expect from You as (Assistant) Contracts Manager
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Engineering, Project Management, Cost Engineering or related disciplines, at least 7 years of work experience with 4 years gained from Quantity Surveying or related fields, with exposure gained from Developer and/or Contractor a MUST, Cost Consultancy an advantage
Familiar with construction procurement process with commercial awareness while proficient in MS Office with Ariba & Sage based networks knowledge an advantage
A detailed-oriented and well-organized professional
Fluent English is a MUST while good Cantonese and/or Mandarin would be an advantage
You will be based in Hong Kong for this role, with business travel to Macau when required
What You Will Do as Senior Quantity Surveyor
Support the team with all necessary duties to develop and deliver comprehensive design and construction contracts
Establish and maintain filing systems (electronic and hardcopy), including the receiving, distribution and filing of contracts and associated documents
Inputting and updating data contained in internal contract management systems
Provide support in the tracking, expediting, collecting and collating of periodic reports and other regular data submissions
Review/maintain project registers such as payments, changes and contractual correspondences
Providing support in the tracking, expediting, collecting and collating contractor’s daily, weekly and monthly reports and other regular data submissions
Assist the Contracts Manager during the bidding process with activities such as issuing the RFP, receive and analyze the proposals and preparation of the BAW
Attend and prepare meeting notes for any pre-award, progress and other relevant meetings relating to the delivery of the project
Initiate and facilitate the onboarding and approval process for new suppliers
Assist the Contracts Manager to receive and analyze supply chain partner’s payment certificates
What We Expect from You as Senior Quantity Surveyor
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management, Cost Engineering or related disciplines
At least 4 years' experience in with Quantity Surveying exposure gained from Developer a MUST, Cost Consultancy an advantage
Knowledge and understanding of construction procurement process and commercial awareness
Ability to multi-task, prioritize to achieve project goals, work with cross-functional teams and contractors to host value-engineering exercises
A detail-oriented, self-motivated and well-organized professional who can provide thorough and skillful administrative support
Capable of demonstrating value-added services throughout the contract administration period (from award through closeout)
Strong computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as strong use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
Fluent English is a MUST while good Cantonese and/or Mandarin would be an advantage
