Job summary

Argyll Scott Singapore is partnering with a leading organisation in Hong Kong to hire a Senior QA Lead for a 12-month extendable contract. The role requires ownership of QA across mobile and digital platforms, defining strategy, and delivering high-quality products on iOS, Android, web, APIs, and backend systems.

You will drive test planning, automation initiatives, and ensure release readiness while mentoring QA engineers and collaborating with product, development, and architecture teams.

Qualifications

• Senior QA Lead or equivalent with proven leadership experience.
• Strong background in testing mobile apps and digital platforms.
• Hands-on experience with test automation across mobile, web, and API tests.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Senior QA Lead — $70-80k P/M

12 month extendable contract

We are partnering with a leading organisation seeking an experienced Senior QA Lead to take ownership of quality assurance across its mobile and digital platforms.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for defining the overall QA strategy, managing end-to-end testing activities, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality digital products across mobile applications, web platforms, APIs, and backend-integrated systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the overall QA strategy, testing standards, processes, and quality frameworks across mobile and digital platforms
• Manage end-to-end test planning, estimation, execution, reporting, and release-readiness activities
• Lead testing across iOS and Android applications, responsive web platforms, APIs, backend services, and system integrations
• Develop comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, test cases, regression suites, and acceptance criteria
• Drive the adoption and continued development of test automation across mobile, web, API, and regression testing
• Lead, mentor, and develop QA engineers, ensuring strong delivery standards and consistent testing practices
• Partner closely with product managers, developers, solution architects, business analysts, and business stakeholders
• Identify quality risks, technical dependencies, and potential delivery issues at an early stage
• Manage defect identification, prioritisation, tracking, root-cause analysis, and resolution
• Provide clear quality reporting, release recommendations, and risk assessments to senior stakeholders
• Support functional, integration, system, regression, performance, usability, and user acceptance testing
• Ensure appropriate testing coverage across different devices, operating systems, browsers, environments, and customer journeys
• Drive continuous improvement across QA processes, tools, automation coverage, and delivery practices
• Promote a quality-first mindset throughout Agile product and engineering teams

Requirements

• Strong experience in a Senior QA Lead, QA Manager, Test Lead, or similar position
• Proven experience testing customer-facing mobile applications and digital platforms
• Strong knowledge of mobile testing across both iOS and Android environments
• Experience leading testing across web applications, APIs, backend systems, and third-party integrations
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, testing lifecycle, and release management processes
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks for mobile, web, or API testing
• Experience managing defect lifecycles using tools such as Jira or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, system, performance, and user acceptance testing
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery environments
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and managing QA teams
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate quality risks and technical issues clearly
• Ability to work across multiple projects, manage competing priorities, and maintain high delivery standards
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience within a large-scale enterprise or highly regulated environment
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing within the development lifecycle
• Experience testing cloud-based platforms, microservices, or complex digital ecosystems
• Familiarity with mobile device farms, performance testing tools, and security testing practices
• Experience supporting major digital transformation or mobile application programmes
