The Legislative Council Secretariat in Hong Kong invites applications for the position of Senior Public Information Officer in its Media and Public Relations Division. The role focuses on drafting press materials, planning publicity campaigns, and managing digital media to promote LegCo’s work.

Qualificações

• A recognized university degree in communications, journalism, PR, global studies or politics/public administration.
• At least nine years' relevant experience in professional writing or multimedia production; five years in news media or PR.
• Thorough understanding of the Government and LegCo structure.
• Knowledge of China, Hong Kong and international affairs; political acumen.
• Excellent writing skills in Chinese and English; fluency in Cantonese, Putonghua and English.
• Insight into social media dissemination patterns with hands-on operational experience.
• Proficiency in using IT and AI tools.
• Strong leadership, management, communication, interpersonal, analytical and supervisory skills.
• Willingness to work beyond normal hours including holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, draft, edit and review press releases, op-eds, speeches, statements, reports and promotional materials.
• Assist in planning and implementing publicity initiatives to promote LegCo and respond to social issues.
• Assist in planning LegCo’s digital media strategies and manage social platforms.
• Plan and produce multi-media content including text, graphics, video and voice-overs.
• Provide media services and PR support; liaise with media; coordinate speeches and promotional materials.
• Supervise subordinates and enhance team performance.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by supervisors.
