Job summary

Lidl & Kaufland Asia in Hong Kong is seeking a skilled pattern maker to assist in managing the design and development process from concept through sample creation, aligning with the company’s strategic planning.

You will create style patterns from blocks and from scratch, convert patterns to 3D blocks to support the Design Team, and coordinate with Technical Designer and Product Developer to ensure accurate, standards-compliant outputs.

Qualifications

Diploma or equivalent in Garment Manufacturing or Fashion
5-7 years minimum experience in pattern making, fitting and design creation
Strong knowledge of garment construction
Knowledge of CAD software, specifically AccuMark
Experience with 3D patterning is essential
Proficient with MS Office/Google Workspace
Good command of English

Create style pattern from scratch based on internal standards
Turn style patterns into 3D Blocks to support Design Team
Liaise with Technical Designer, Product Developer & Design Team
Specify product descriptions according to company standards
Perform pattern adjustments in pattern making software
Standardize & create patterns with approved fitting to support QA-Team
Grade patterns from base size to other sizes in assortment
Maintain hard paper pattern and E-pattern libraries
Attend fittings on live model and communicate design & fit changes

Job description

The objectives of the position are to assist in managing the overall design and development process from concept through to sample creation in accordance with the company's strategic planning.

Create style patterns from block patterns
Create style pattern from scratch based on internal measurement standards
Turn style patterns into 3D Blocks to support Design Team
Liaise with Technical Designer, Product Developer & Design Team
Specify product description according to company standards
Perform pattern adjustments in pattern making software
Standardize & create patterns with approved fitting to support QA-Team
Grade patterns from base size to other sizes in assortment
Maintain hard paper pattern and E-pattern libraries
Attend fittings on live model and communicate design & fit changes

What you'll need

Diploma in Garment Manufacturing, Fashion Technology, Fashion Design or similar
