Job summary

TalentCloud Group seeks a senior options trader to design and run autonomous strategies on our global equity and derivatives book. You will own risk, sizing and hedging decisions while collaborating with quants to refine models and systems.

What this job actually is:

You'd be trading options — buying and selling contracts tied to the future price of assets — for a proprietary trading firm's own book, not for clients. You'd build and run the strategies yourself, decide when and how big to trade, and manage the risk on those positions day to day, working alongside quants and developers who build the models and systems you trade on.

What You'll Do

• Design, run and continuously refine options strategies across global markets
• Turn market data into trading edge, working hand-in-hand with quants
• Own the risk on your positions — sizing, hedging, and staying within mandate
• Partner with data scientists and fellow traders to sharpen the desk's models and algorithms
• Keep a constant read on markets, news and macro events that move volatility
• Execute cleanly, with a sharp eye on liquidity and pricing
• Help push the firm's trading technology forward

What You Bring

• A degree from a top-tier university — finance, maths, physics, engineering or computer science
• 7+ years trading options, with genuine depth in strategy, pricing and volatility
• A strong, sustained personal PnL track record over multiple years
• Comfort using data and quantitative methods to drive trading decisions
• Sharp analytical instincts and the composure to decide fast under pressure
• A collaborative streak — this is a desk, not a solo act
• Some experience bringing junior traders up to speed
• Python, C++ or similar is a strong plus, not a must
