Job summary

Pathos Consultancy Limited is seeking a Senior Analyst Programmer (.NET) for a Financial Services client in Hong Kong. The role involves leading system design, translating business requirements into technical designs, and owning hands-on development with MS .NET and MS SQL.

You will drive full SDLC activities, lead SIT/UAT, produce detailed documentation, and coordinate deployments with IT and external vendors, while delivering timely fixes and user training in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of IT experience with strong, hands-on MS .NET development and MS SQL expertise.
• Solid grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle and experience managing SIT/UAT and production releases.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to collaborate effectively with business users, technical teams, and vendors.
• Positive attitude and resilience—comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead system design and translate business requirements into clear program specifications and technical designs
• Own hands-on development, maintenance, and environment enhancements for MS .NET applications integrated with MS SQL
• Conduct feasibility studies and solution assessments for new business and regulatory requirements
• Produce comprehensive documentation: requirements, technical specifications, system flows, and user manuals
• Lead full SDLC activities—design, coding, testing (SIT/UAT), implementation, support, and continuous enhancements
• Develop SIT/UAT test plans, manage test execution, and ensure complete, traceable test documentation
• Deliver user training and create clear, user-friendly manuals and guides
• Coordinate system deployments and release activities with IT infrastructure, QA, business teams, and external vendors
• Provide production support, troubleshoot incidents, and implement timely fixes and improvements
• Perform ad-hoc duties and special projects as required
