Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Sourcing & Merchandising Lead to manage global product assortment for EU and APAC markets. Reporting to the Sourcing Director, SDA, you will oversee daily sourcing, vendor management, costing, development, and mass production follow-up.

You will collaborate with factories and QA, drive market analysis, manage raw material planning, ensure quality and timely deliveries, and travel frequently to China for supplier engagement.

Job description

Reporting to the Sourcing Director, SDA, you will be responsible for the sourcing of product assortment for the Global organization, especially focused on the EU + APAC market.

• Responsibilities Include but not limit to:
• Oversee daily Sourcing & merchandising operations, including costing, vendor sourcing, product development, and mass production follow-up.
• Conduct market research and generate ideas for product line-ups.
• Familiar with EU safety & chemical standard on kitchen appliance items is preferable
• Foster positive working relationships with teammates
• Identify challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Through systematic follow-ups at each production stage and timely order execution.
• Collaborate proactively with the different teams and factories and engineer teams to guarantee quality in delivered kitchen appliances.
• Manage raw material planning in coordination with suppliers and major components.
• Work closely with the QA team to oversee delivery details and monitor production and inspection processes.

Profile

• Around 5-7 years experience with small kitchen appliance products, such as heating appliances (indoor grills, air fryers, pressure cookers), motorized appliances (blenders, choppers), and beverage makers (coffee machines, tea kettles), preferably in a merchandising capacity within a multinational company.
• Strong expertise in sourcing, procurement, and market analysis.
• Comprehensive knowledge of product development and production processes, along with familiarity with materials and engineering terminology.
• Established network of vendor partnerships and a proven record of sourcing for a prominent small kitchen appliance brand.
• Experience in the US and European markets, particularly with loyalty programs, is highly desirable.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of managing complexity and meeting tight deadlines.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple products simultaneously.
• Passionate and mature, with the ability to work independently.
• Strong commercial acumen and fluency in both Chinese and English are required.
• Willingness to travel frequently to China.
• Ability to manage operations across multiple time zones (China, Europe, US).
